Gas Distribution Inspection
Storti Quality provides Inspection and Construction Oversite for Gas Distribution Pipeline
Storti Quality’s Gas Inspection Business Unit continues to be the largest unit within our company, with over half of our employees working in gas distribution inspection for utilities. Our inspectors hold various certifications, including Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Certified Pipeline Welding Inspector (CPWI), NACE Levels 1 and 2, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour) training, and American Petroleum Institute (API) 1169. Storti Quality currently provides CWls and NACE certified coating inspectors on staff.
Storti Quality’s Gas Inspection Business Unit provides OQ inspectors, primarily through the Northeast Gas Association and Energy World Net, to assist clients with distribution and transmission pipeline projects. Our inspectors have a wide variety of experience, including inspecting the installation of various diameter pipe for medium-density polyethylene (MDPE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and steel pipe.
Our inspection team monitors the construction contractor as they perform all aspects of work according to our clients’ policies and procedures, as well as manufacturer’s specifications, industry standards, and federal, state, and/or local requirements. Additionally, the inspector observes that OQs for the construction crew employees are current, meet client and regulatory requirements, and are available on the project worksite.
